The 2021 Toyota Highlander is a car. It has 3 rows of seats and it can be used to take things like school supplies, books, and toys for children. The 2020 model year update brought many changes to this car.

It still has lots of power (so you can move things) but you need to know how much the vehicle can hold before you tow something with it. Many drivers often wonder how much can a toyota tow. But today we want to tell you how much can a Toyota Highlander tow. To learn more about this car, read the post below.

Many Configurations

Toyota makes cars in different colors. You can pick the color you want when you buy. For the 2021 model year, there are 6 colors: L, LE, XLE, XSE, Limited and Platinum. The SUV comes with a lot of cool things that all people in the car can enjoy.

It has an 8 inch touch screen or you can have a 12 inch touch screen if you want one. The seats are comfy like pillows (not like chairs). They come in different colors too.

There is cloth fabric on some of them and leather on others; they get more expensive as it gets higher up the line. But adults don't need to worry about space because there is seating for 8 people - even adults fit.

The Toyota Highlander is a good car for carrying a lot of people and things. If you have a lot of things to carry, you can fold down the back seats to get more space. The Toyota Highlander can also tow trailers very easily.

Highlander Towing Capacity

No matter which Highlander trim you have, they all come with the same powerful engine. The 3.5-liter V-6 engine produces 295 horsepower and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The vehicle also comes standard with front-wheel drive, but you can opt for all-wheel drive. When properly equipped with all-wheel drive and the tow package, the 2021 Highlander can tow up to 5,000 pounds.

Highlander vs. Kia Sorento

The Highlander is a good car for towing. There are two engine options, and the first one is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that produces 191 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. It comes with front-wheel drive and can tow 1,500 pounds.

The upper three trims have a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder that gets 281 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. When combined with front-wheel drive, they can tow 3,500 pounds which is lower than the Highlander’s towing capacity.

Highlander vs. Honda Pilot

The Honda Highlander has different trims. The trims with two-wheel drive can tow up to 3,500 pounds. If you have an all-wheel-drive car, it can tow up to 5,000 pounds. You may want to get an all-wheel drive one because they are better for driving in tough conditions.

Highlander vs. Hyundai Palisade

The Hyundai Palisade is a newer SUV that can pull a lot of weight. It has a 3.8 liter V6 engine that makes 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. This means it can tow up to 5000 pounds.

It also comes with safety features like trailer sway control and vehicle stability management to help when you are pulling something heavy.

Safety When Towing

When you're driving your 2021 Highlander with a trailer, it's important to have safety and security features. That way, you and your passengers will be safe. The driver-assist features give you more control over the car and how you're driving.

Plus, there are exterior features that will help you navigate no matter what size trailer you're pulling behind you.
