Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. has been manufacturing vehicles since 1986. It is the first wholly owned US-based Toyota manufacturing plant, and to date it is the largest manufacturing facility located outside Japan.

The models that are made in this plant include the 2013 Avalon, Avalon Hybrid Camry, Camry Hybrid, and Venza. In 2013, this plant was able to manufacture 504,213 vehicles.

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana, Inc. (TMMI)

The Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana Inc. is located in Gibson County, Indiana. The company started making full-size pickup trucks for the American market in 1996. Today, they also make SUVs like the Highlander, Sequoia, and Sienna. In 2013, they were able to produce 299,820 vehicles.

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Mississippi (TMMMS)

Toyota vehicles are not made where you might think. The Toyota Mississippi Manufacturing, where the TMMMS stands for, was first set to make the Toyota Highlander. But then Toyota decided to make it in Indiana instead. So now it makes other cars like the Corolla and can make up to 158,647 a year.

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas, Inc. (TMMTX)

In 2003, Toyota was able to buy a new place where they make their trucks. That place is in San Antonio, Texas where they make lots of trucks like the Tacoma and Tundra. In 2013, they made 228,983 vehicles there.
