What led bulb is the best for your Acura RDX?

There are a few different types of led bulbs on the market, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Ultimately, the best-led bulb for your Acura RDX is the one that best meets your needs and preferences.

Some things to consider when choosing a led bulb for your Acura RDX include:

  • Brightness: How bright do you want your headlights to be? Some led bulbs are significantly brighter than others.
  • Color temperature: Do you prefer a warmer or cooler light? Led bulbs come in a range of color temperatures, from warm white to cool blue.
  • Life span: How often do you want to have to replace your bulbs on Acura RDX? Some led bulbs last much longer than others.
  • Cost: Led bulbs can vary widely in price, so be sure to choose one that fits your budget.

No matter which led bulb you ultimately choose for your Acura RDX, you can rest assured that it will provide superior performance to traditional halogen or incandescent bulbs. Thanks for choosing Acura!

Can I put LED bulbs in my stock HID headlights? No. LED headlight conversion kits are only designed to work with stock halogen bulbs and assemblies.

As the brightest LED headlights on our list, the Hikari Ultra LED headlights (US$89.99, Amazon) have 18,000 lumens in a set and a very long luminosity range, but for a light that is almost as bright and at a great value, the Fahren LED headlight bulbs (US$36.54, Amazon) are also an excellent option.

Brightness: LED lights can have a brightness of 9,000-10,000 lumens while HID might have 8,000 lumens. Both, however, are brighter than traditional halogen lights. Technology: LED lights use electricity while HID uses gas (typically xenon).

Currently, the brightest LED bulb used for general use is rated at 5500 lumens (although there are some consumer flashlights sold with higher lumen ratings). Luminous Efficacy.

LED headlight bulbs are better and brighter for reflector lenses, while HIDs are better and brighter for vehicles with projector lenses. Although the science behind this is quite complex, the important thing to remember is that you get the appropriate technology for your type of headlight for the best results.

An LED lamp and driver is another option to upgrade your HID lighting. In this scenario, you remove the ballast, replace it with an LED driver, and add a light array (or bulb).

By increasing the intensity of the arc, you are just "running them hotter," which will wear down your bulb much faster. A bulb running 55W will usually last about half as long as a bulb running 35W. Brightness: 35W bulbs driven by a true 35W ballast will provide at least 3200 lumens.

It's important to note that stylish lights (8000K and above) are the least bright and may, in fact, emit less light than your stock halogens. If you want the perfect balance between brightness and style, we recommend going with 6000K bulbs, which are very bright and have a nice blue tint.

HID headlights are brighter and cover a larger area than LED headlights. HIDs are the brightest option on the market. However, the lifespan of HIDs are only a quarter as long as LED headlights and HIDs are not as durable.

Realistically, the best of the best-LED bulbs on the market today might have an actual effective lumen rating of 1,800 – 2,000 per bulb at most. Anyone who claims more than double these figures is flat out lying to you.
